This Privacy Policy explains how Keeply (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Keeply mobile app and related services.

1. Who we are

Keeply helps pet parents know what their dog or cat did today. You can turn a spare iPhone into a private pet camera, log activity with on-device AI, and optionally generate a Pet Story diary.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Keeply, we may process:

Account information — Sign in with Apple identifiers, display name (if provided), household membership.
Device and app information — device model, OS version, app version, language, timezone, crash/diagnostic logs.
Camera / care data on device — video preview and care detection primarily stay on your Camera device for local monitoring.
Activity metadata — events such as pet appeared, left, or became active (timestamps, behavior labels, optional local media IDs). Used for local Activity and, if you choose, cloud Pet Story.
Subscription / purchase receipts — App Store transaction identifiers needed to unlock Premium features.
Support messages — if you email us.

We do not require you to upload raw video to generate basic local care and logs.

3. How we use information

Provide Camera + Monitor roles, pairing, Live View, and Activity.
Generate optional Pet Story / Diary when you request it (uses limited activity metadata).
Maintain Premium entitlements and prevent abuse.
Improve reliability and security (diagnostics).
Respond to support requests.

4. On-device AI and cloud AI

Care detection is designed to run on the Camera device.
Cloud Pet Story is optional. You may decline cloud AI and continue using local care and activity logs.
When cloud Story is enabled, we send limited activity metadata needed to write a diary—not a full video archive by default.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Service providers that help us host APIs, deliver push notifications, or process subscriptions (under contractual confidentiality).
Authorities when required by law.
Household members you invite (they may see shared devices, activity, and stories for your household).

6. Retention

We keep account and household data while your account is active. Activity and story caches follow product retention rules and can be deleted when you remove content or delete your account, subject to legal retention needs.

7. Your choices

Decline optional cloud diary / AI story generation.
Manage notifications in Settings.
Leave a household or remove invited members (Owner controls).
Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing admin@keeply.pet.
Delete your Keeply account in the app (Owner rules may require removing members first).

8. Children

Keeply is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). See our Children’s Privacy Notice.

9. International users

If you use Keeply outside the region where our servers operate, your information may be processed in other countries with appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app.
